Dreaming of an Elevator
🌙 Does this dream sound familiar?
The elevator plummets, stalls between floors, or rises past the roof into open sky.
🏮 The folk interpretation
Folk belief: a falling elevator warns of a sudden setback; a stuck one means delays in plans. Rising past the roof signals unexpected promotion or spiritual ascent. Colors and who rides with you alter luck.
🧠 The psychological view (Jung)
Jung saw the elevator as a descent into the unconscious or ascent toward integration. A plummeting car mirrors feeling out of control; a stalled one reflects indecision; rising past the roof suggests spiritual ambition.
"The most terrifying thing is to accept oneself completely."
— C.G. Jung, Psychological Reflections
