Dreaming of Mice
🌙 Does this dream sound familiar?
Mice dart across the kitchen floor or gnaw at things you own.
🏮 The folk interpretation
Folk belief: mice in dreams warn of small worries or hidden enemies. White mice bring luck; many mice mean gossip. If they gnaw your things, financial loss or betrayal by a close friend is feared.
🧠 The psychological view (Jung)
Jung saw mice as shadow aspects of neglected anxieties—tiny gnawing worries you've ignored. The kitchen setting suggests domestic or survival concerns. Not a premonition, but a mirror of current stress.
"The tarot is a mirror of the soul — the cards show what the inner eye already knows."
— A.E. Waite, The Pictorial Key to the Tarot (序論の趣旨を要約した公版解説)
