Dreaming of Insects
🌙 Does this dream sound familiar?
Bugs swarm from a crack, crawl over your skin, or fill a room overnight.
🏮 The folk interpretation
Folklore sees insects as omens: ants signal hard work ahead, flies mean petty annoyances, beetles bring luck. Swarming from a crack warns of hidden worries surfacing; crawling on skin suggests gossip. A single bug is minor; a room full means overwhelming stress.
🧠 The psychological view (Jung)
Jung saw insects as symbols of instinctual, repetitive thoughts—often anxieties or small irritations you've ignored. They mirror feeling invaded or overwhelmed by daily pressures, not a premonition. The dream reflects your current state of mind, not the future.
"Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate."
— C.G. Jung（要約・一般流布形）, Psychology and Alchemy の趣旨を要約した流布形表現
